Universal Beijing Resort has given us theme park geeks a real treat this week… and just in time for Halloween! Their latest video is chockful of fun, sharing additional insider info on several experiences that will be available when the resort opens in 2021.

What Will Universal Beijing Resort Have?

The resort includes the following;

  • Universal Studios Beijing theme park
  • Universal CityWalk Beijing
  • The Universal Studios Grand Hotel
  • NUO Resort Hotel

The video prominently features new images, concept art, and more from the theme park’s excited seven themed lands:

  • Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness
  • Hollywood
  • Waterworld
  • Transformers Metrobase
  • Minion Land
  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
  • Jurassic World Isla Nublar

Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness

Now, this is one land that is guaranteed to kick some serious butt! Guests will have an opportunity to discover “Legendary China” and The Valley of Peace, a small town where Po, the panda hero of the story, lives.

Located in the centre of the land, The Tree of Heavenly Wisdom will change seasons continually through winter, spring, summer and fall. This awesome effect is made possible by pairing 58,000 hand-made blossoms with 360-degree projection mapping! Pretty cool, huh?

In addition, this land will showcase Kung Fu Panda Journey of the Dragon Warrior, a fun flume ride that pits Po against Tian Sha.

Hollywood

This land plops you in the middle of cinematic magic, offering guests the chance to go behind the scenes of movie-making with “Lights, Camera, Action!,” a new show featuring world-renowned directors Stephen Spielberg and Zhang Yimou.

Waterworld

Waterworld presents the very first theme park land dedicated to the film! Here, guests will be dropped directly in the middle of an exhilarating water battle with the Waterworld Stunt Show. This up-close and personal look at the work that goes into film stunts will include water motorboats, high-dives, gunfire, explosions, and a plane crash!

Transformers Metrobase

Welcome to Transformers Metrobase, the first theme park land in the world dedicated to the franchise.

Visitors will become “guest agents” and fight with the Autobots on multiple attractions like Bumblebee Boogie, Transformers: Battle for the AllSpark, and the Decepticoaster – which guests of Universal Orlando will find quite similar to The Incredible Hulk Coaster.

Minion Land

Inspired by Illumination’s “Despicable Me” franchise, Minion Land captures the mischievous and wacky fun of the Minions by taking guests to iconic locations from the films, such as Super Silly Fun Land.

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, the flagship attraction, will transform guests into Minions as they traverse through Gru’s Super Villain laboratory.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Enter The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where you will be directly transported to Hogsmeade. The land will also include Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, an attraction that invites you to fly with the boy wizard himself.

Jurassic World Isla Nublar

Inspired by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s blockbuster franchise, Jurassic World Isla Nublar, permits guests to explore the island where dinosaurs once again roam the Earth.

The immersive and interactive land will be divided into four zones, including Camp Jurassic for the younger explorers.

However, perhaps the most exciting adventure of all will be Jurassic World Adventure, where guests will board the All-Terrain Luxury Automatic System (ATLAS) as they venture into the wilderness of the island. On this brand-new adventure, riders will encounter all kinds of dinos, including the fearsome Indominus rex.
