With Tiana’s Bayou Adventure also said to be opening in 2024, Disney World’s Frontierland is in the midst of an overhaul. The Country Bear Jamboree will be given a much-needed makeover after it closes its barn doors on January 27th, 2024.
As one of the final attractions Walt Disney helped to personally create, the 18 – slightly terrifying but loveable – animatronics have gained cult status among Disney fans. The zany attraction is a 16-minute country music performance, with bears rising from the ground and appearing from behind curtains.
Country Bear Jamboree Renovation Plans
As usual, Disney is keeping tight-lipped about the renovation. However, they have announced that the show will transform into the Country Bear Musical Jamboree, with influences from Nashville’s Opry-style shows.
The bear’s performances will be reimagined, singing “new, reinterpreted Disney tunes in different genres of country music – like bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly and other styles.”
The renovation is due to be completed in mid-late 2024, with the barn doors swingin’ back open soon after.
In the meantime, here’s a little sneak peek of what to expect…
