Disney has shared a sneak peek at the new bear costumes for the Country Bear Musical Jamboree, which reopens on 17th July at Magic Kingdom.

The attraction has been closed since January to undergo a major Nashville-style makeover. New songs, set designs, and costumes will debut later this month.

The Disney Parks Blog has revealed the bears’ new costumes, alongside a fun bio for each character – take a look below...

The Country Bears

Henry looks dapper in his matching attire. Disney.

Ursus H. Bear is the ringleader of the jamboree and is responsible for putting together the band.

His grandson, Henry, is the master of bear-emonies, and has penned some of the songs you’ll hear in the new show. He dons a rootin’ tootin’ cowboy hat and jacket, leaving his previous top hat behind.

He appeared in the previous iteration of Country Bear Jamboree alongside a furry raccoon friend.

The Five Bear Rugs – Zeke, Zeb, Ted, Fred, and Tennessee – have all been given a fresh look with suave matching bandanas. Zeb’s son, Oscar, makes an appearance holding a new Big Al plush, too.

Popular bear Trixie has been given a glitzy makeover, as has Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah. The girls will sing Try Everything from Zootopia all together in pink cowgirl outfits.

Trixie was previously known for wearing her blue tutu skirt, while the Sun Bonnet trio wore matching blue baby bonnets.

Still as glamorous as ever, Teddi Barra swings across the stage in a pink and blue get-up. Wendell, whom Teddi sings a love song with, is dressed in a new cowboy hat, bandana, and vest.

Meanwhile, Ernest the Dude remains one of the best-dressed bears in town with his straw sunhat and striped waistcoat. He looks a little bit like Bert from Mary Poppins, if you ask us.

After a nasty fall cut short his theatre days, Terrence, aka Shaker, is ready to launch his movie star career. And he looks every bit the part in his green waistcoat, blue bowtie, and fancy hat.

Another bear ready to be thrust into stardom is Romeo McGrowl (formerly Liver Lips McGrowl). He’s dressed in an Elvis-inspired blue and pink suit, with a suitably quiffed 'do to match.

Resident pianist Gomer is looking dapper in his new tie and last, but certainly not least, is Big Al – possibly the most famous of all country bears. His iconic look remains almost the same, though he’s now in a striking red vest and tan hat combo.

You’ll be able to spot the bears in their new outfits when the Country Bear Musical Jamboree reopens this summer at Walt Disney World. Check back with Themepark+ for the latest news and updates.
