Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened to excited crowds today (28 June) in the Magic Kingdom.
The Splash Mountain retheme transports guests on a journey through the bayou to hunt out critters (ahem, adorable musicians) to perform at Tiana's Mardi Gras party. But not before plunging guests down the iconic 50ft drop.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure Opening Day
Following Cast Member and Annual Passholder previews, all park guests were invited to join the Virtual Queue to secure their slot in the bayou. This is currently the only way to ride the attraction.
Additionally, Tiana’s Bayou General is now open at the ride's exit – replacing the former Splashdown Photos. This location is jam-packed with photo opportunities and more information about the adorable bayou critters. The interior is decorated like an old-fashioned general store, with floor-to-ceiling shelves stocked with groceries.
New Tiana's Bayou Adventure merchandise is also available to purchase in the Emporium, with the Critter Co-Op location opening soon.
Disney opted to share plenty of photos and videos of happy guests on Instagram throughout opening day, as well as an adorable photo of the Cast Members in their new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure costumes.
