The reimagined Lightning Lane system launched today (24th July 2024) at Walt Disney World, and prices have finally been revealed on the My Disney Experience App.

This new system has been introduced to smooth out the Genie+ system that had been suffering from a multitude of issues in recent months. There are two Lightning Lane options: Multi Pass or Single Pass. These passes allow guests to skip the regular queue entry for the majority of attractions at Walt Disney World.

Disneyland is now also using the Lightning Lane system – however, this is simply a name change, and how guests purchase and use Lightning Lanes will not change.

For the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which allows guests to book three Lightning Lanes in advance, prices will fluctuate depending on the park and the time of year. Prices start at the following per guest per day:

  • Magic Kingdom - $29
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios - $26
  • EPCOT - $21
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom - $18

While most of the attractions can be purchased as part of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, five rides are not included as of July 2024. The following rides must instead be purchased as a Lightning Lane Single Pass:

  • TRON Lightcycle / Run
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
  • Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
  • Avatar Flight of Passage

If you don’t want to commit to the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass instead for individual attractions. Prices range from $12 to $25 per person. Currently, the most expensive attraction is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at $25, while Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is among the $12 rides.
