Disney has shared that the Disney Dream cruise ship will receive several exciting updates when it returns to its home port of Fort Lauderdale at the end of 2024. 

The ship is currently whisking guests on journeys around Europe to the likes of Spain, Greece, and Italy. Among the updates are redesigned rooms and new kids' club entertainment.

Reimagined Concierge Lounge + Spa

One of the biggest updates on the Disney Dream will be the Concierge Lounge, which will be expanded and revamped. The new space will be inspired (loosely, may we add) by Hercules and Mount Olympus.

The lounge will be ethereal and spacious, with hints of gold that pay homage to the gates to the kingdom of the gods. The space will be filled with Art Deco touches, like geometric patterns and pastel-coloured furnishings.

The ship’s spa will also boast a refreshed check-in area and new treatment rooms. Plus, Deck 11 will be home to a new cantina where guests can pick up tacos, burritos, and bowls before or after treatments.

Updated Funnel Suite

The forward funnel of the Disney Dream will transform into the Dream Tower Suite. The two-story funnel suite will be themed to Sorcerer Mickey and Fantasia, with rooms decorated with gilded features and yet more Art Deco motifs. 

Plus, the surrounding walls will be celestial and the carpet design will be inspired by flowing water. And make sure to look up! The opulent chandelier will reflect Sorcerer Mickey’s magical abilities – in particular, a reference to controlling the waves.

Workshops + Kids Clubs

The Disney Dream Oceaneer Club will soon offer a state-of-the-art lab Worldwide Engineering Brigade (WEB) workshop. 

Young sailors will be tasked with testing new suit prototypes for Spider-Man and other heroes and conducting training simulations using WEB technology. The Avengers may even pop in to check on things from time to time.

Edge, the tween club for 11-14 year olds will move to Deck 5 where there’s access to the outdoor deck. Guests will be able to enjoy a ball pit and recreational games, plus a fun club lounge and dance floor inside to unleash their best moves.
