If you’re like me, you’ve already watched countless POV ride-throughs of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance without having yet been granted the opportunity to blast off to Batu. In many ways, ‘Rise’, as fans affectionately call it, has become somewhat of the holy grail experience throughout Walt Disney World. Partially due to its illustrious breakthrough technology, and partially due to the fact that it is just damn near impossible to nab a boarding pass aboard this juggernaut. However, just the other day Walt Disney World shared a virtual queue update for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And this time, we’ve got a good feeling about this.

Beginning November 3rd, 2020, here is precisely how the virtual queue process will work for the attraction:

  • Guests with a valid ticket or Annual Pass and a Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be able to access the virtual queue and check for an available boarding group starting at 7 a.m. on the day of their reservation.
  • This can be done before you leave your Disney resort hotel, or wherever else nearby you might be at that time.
  • The virtual queue will reopen daily at 2 p.m. as usual for anyone who wasn’t able to join a boarding group earlier in the day.
  • Keep in mind that guests must be inside the park to access the second virtual queue opportunity, and access to a boarding group is not guaranteed.

That is not the only update, friends of the force. Now, clear barriers are featured between the two rows of seats on every First Order Fleet Transport vehicle inside the attraction. This little addition will allow for increased guest capacity!
