Of course, every ride in Magic Kingdom is just amazing. However, there are some that outshine the rest. We are about to break down some of our favourites to help us decide once and for all. Here is a list of some of Magic Kingdom’s best rides.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is such a fun attraction. I cried tears of joy the first time I rode it. Don’t judge me! You don’t even have to be a fan of the movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to enjoy it. The animatronics are absolutely stunning. The inside of the mine sparkles with the coloured jewels placed all about. Not to mention the beautiful song that is sung inside the mine. It is difficult not to clap and sing along.

It is also a roller coaster that anyone can enjoy. There are no serious heights or fast speeds to make it feel “scary.” However, the ride is still extremely exciting to experience.

Haunted Mansion

The Haunted Mansion is a classic Magic Kingdom attraction. It was an obvious choice for Imagineers as they decided which attractions to put in their new park on the East Coast. In fact, both versions of the Haunted Mansion — at both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom — were built at the same time. It was a smart decision on their part, as the Haunted Mansion still proves to be very popular in both parks.

Your “Ghost Host” takes you on a tour through the Mansion. Residing there are 999 ghosts — or “happy haunts.” Each ghost has a backstory and each is very interesting. The Haunted Mansion has one of the largest cult followings in all of theme park history. Just like it was an obvious choice for Imagineers to put in Walt Disney World, it was obvious to put on this list of the best Magic Kingdom attractions.

Space Mountain

This seems like another obvious choice. Space Mountain is amazing and a super popular ride. Magic Kingdom’s version of Space Mountain was the first of all the Space Mountains, and many would argue that it is the best. You get to ride on a spaceship on one of the mirroring tracks through space.

The spaceship speeds past astronauts, planets, and lots of stars. The darkness and fans blowing in your face make it feel as if you are travelling at the speed of light. You may be surprised to know, though, that you are only travelling at around 30 miles per hour. Even so, it is still so much fun. And the next time you ride, it may be totally different from your last experience if you can go on the opposite track.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Often referenced as the “most popular theme park attraction in the world,” Pirates of the Caribbean is a classic favourite for most fans. In fact, when Magic Kingdom Park first opened and the beloved boat ride was not included, there was quite an uproar. At first, Imagineers believed guests in Florida would not be interested in a ride inspired by the Caribbean because they were already so close to it in proximity. So, they did not build it. Then, when fans found out that there wasn’t a Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, they complained…a lot! Luckily, Disney Imagineers could take a hint. Pirates of the Caribbean was added to Adventureland almost immediately.

With the newer additions of Jack Sparrow and Red, the attraction is growing even more popular than before. The smell of the ride alone is enough to make you feel so many positive emotions! Not to mention the famous song, “Yo, ho! A Pirate’s Life For Me,” is so lovable and memorable.
