Well, we knew the market would have to try to correct itself at some point today, what with having good news from Shanghai and the Tambu Lounge reopening at Walt Disney World’s Polynesian Village Resort. Alas, several reputable sources have stated that Disneyland Paris is reportedly considering temporarily closing Walt Disney Studios Park due to increasing concerns over short staffing. It is believed that a meeting has been scheduled to examine the possibility.

If this plan sounds a little bit familiar to you, it is because it was initially considered as part of the original reopening plans for Disneyland Paris.

Despite a rather strong opening last month, park attendance has been struggling over the past few weeks. Should the park decide to close, it is believed that those Cast Members will be transferred to Disneyland Park.

On the flip side, construction on Avengers Campus and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge would continue. This may expedite the process, as it should allow them to work a bit more freely. You know, like we all assumed would be the case with EPCOT… but… you know… wasn’t.

The decision to close could be decided as early as the beginning of the school year later this year and may take place before the end of 2020.

As you may be away, resort hotels have already begun to delay their opening. The Disneyland Hotel is currently scheduled to reopen in December 2020. Other hotels are scheduled to reopen in the new year.
