Harry Potter fans will not want to miss the MinaLima pop-up that opened on 29th January, 2024, at Universal Orlando. MinaLima is the design studio behind some of the most iconic Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts graphics.
You’ll find the pop-up at Universal Studios Store in Universal CityWalk in the Harry Potter section. Available to purchase is a limited selection of stationery, artwork, and homeware from the store, with the full Wizarding World collection available online.
The display features some of the movie’s most recognizable pieces, from a Sirius Black wanted poster and Marauder’s Map to Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. It also contains behind-the-scenes photos of the MinaLima team and early sketches of Harry Potter artwork.
Who is MinaLima?
The MinaLima design studio was founded by Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima. The duo began working together in 2001 to create the designs for the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies (and later, the themed land and studio tours.)
The Daily Prophet? That’s a MinaLima design. And so is the famous Hogwarts letter that Harry receives in the first movie. Their quirky graphics soon gained cult status, so they opened a shop in London where you can see much of the original artwork and purchase merchandise for yourself.
How long will the MinaLima collection be at Universal Orlando? The official end date is yet to be announced, but it has been described as a “limited-time” pop-up.
