Have you ever wondered how to get your theme park kicks in between visits? Well, now you can – Universal has teamed up with Minecraft for a brand-new experience DLC (downloadable content) that allows you to explore the parks from the comfort of your own home.
The Minecraft x Universal Studios Experience DLC is available to download now for those with existing Minecraft accounts – you can find it on the Minecraft Marketplace for $8.99.
Bring the Theme Parks Home
The likes of Shrek, Jaws, Back to the Future, Jurassic World, and more have been combined to create one mega experience. The map is a blend of Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood, so you get to enjoy the best of both parks. Though it takes inspiration from every Universal theme park around the globe.
A variety of rides, shops, mini-games, and characters are featured in the game, plus there are eight islands to explore: Hollywood, New York, San Francisco, Hill Valley, Lower Lot, Amity Island, Jurassic World, and Skull Island.
The adventure starts at the iconic Universal Studios gates. Woody Woodpecker will greet you and ask for your help in finding letters, which have disappeared from the Universal Globe. The letters are hidden in the parks – both on attractions and in mini-games.
You can watch the teaser shared by Minecraft below, which shows some of the in-game experiences available.
