Disney+ is gearing up to launch an all-new Disney parks series!

Theme park fans around the world rejoiced in the epic masterwork that was “The Imagineering Story” documentary. If you’re one of the few who have yet to check out this wondrous gift given to us super nerds, stop what you’re doing and get to watching! Seriously… we’ll see you back here in about 545 minutes.

This go-around, that stars of Disney+ series are bit more wild than the Imagineers… and a heck of a lot furrier. That right, the animals of Walt Disney World will receive their very own cinematic moment.

National Geographic’s “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom” is scheduled to  debut on September 25th, 2020, on Disney+. This eight-part series is narrated by none other than Josh Gad of Frozen fame. The show will feature more than 5,000 animals from more than 300 species that reside at the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends attraction at EPOT.

Filming nature and/or wildlife can be tricky. Truly, it is a real zoo out there. Filmmakers must be incredibly resourceful under this demanding condition. They achieve such high-stakes cinematography by employing the use of underwater camera systems, custom-built GoPro mounts, and 18-foot cranes. All of these special devices and techniques help to capture images of Disney’s animals, as well as the animal-care team that watches after them.

As we eagerly count down the days until the series debuts on Disney+, we are elated to reveal the stunning poster art for the “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” compliments of the Disney Parks Blog.

This display showcases the beauty of the natural world and the passion the Disney team of animal care experts exhibit when caring for the animals who call our parks and resorts home.

Be sure to stay tuned for more info as the premier of this exciting new series approaches!
