Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons, which runs the wedding planning service at every Disney park, has announced an iconic new venue for future brides and grooms at Disney World.
In addition to the Wedding Pavilion at The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Tamu Tamu Courtyard at Animal Kingdom Park, and an abundance of locations in the World Showcase, you can now wed your other half directly in front of the EPCOT ball.
A Brand-New Magical Wedding Venue
Getting married at Walt Disney World is a bucket list addition for many couples worldwide, and the newest location on the Disney Wedding roster is in the World Celebration Gardens.
You can now say “I do” with the giant Spaceship Earth as the backdrop. Better yet, the attraction will feature special projections set to music to create the ultimate romantic experience.
About the otherworldly venue, Disney said, “Surrounded by lush trees and greenery, and of course the iconic Spaceship Earth, this fully immersive outdoor wedding venue is transformed at night by the shimmering lights on the 18-story geosphere.”
The venue is available for both ceremonies and receptions and can accommodate 10 to 150 guests, including the couple.
How much does it cost to get married at Spaceship Earth?
As you might expect, getting hitched at this venue comes with a hefty price tag – ceremonies at the EPCOT World Celebration Gardens start at $9500.
These ceremony fees include the following:
- The price of the venue, plus seating
- Musicians, a sound system, and a technician
- Water station for guests
- A rain backup location if necessary
- A day-of Coordinator
Note that there are also minimum fees for Disney Wedding venues – the Spaceship Earth location starts at $20,000.
