In Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is notorious for having an incredibly well-themed but ridiculously long queue. So the news of a much-needed queue extension is highly welcomed by us.

Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure is a multiple-launch steel roller coaster that sends you deep into the Forbidden Forest to join Hagrid for his Care of Magical Creatures class. It’s one of the most popular rides at Universal Islands of Adventure, with queue times that regularly exceed 100 minutes and lines spilling into Hogsmeade.

It was reported in January that the queue was being extended and the walls have already come down around the extra area.

While this extra queue capacity is unlikely to help keep wait times down, it will help to ensure that every single guest who wants to ride it can do so – especially important coming up to the summer months in Orlando.

The Universal Express Pass does not cover Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure, so the only way to ride it is by braving the long lines. While there are murmurings that this queue extension could mean Express Pass is coming to Hagrid’s, we think this will likely continue to be unavailable until Epic Universe opens in 2025.
