It is so unfortunate that firework shows and parades have been put on hold at Walt Disney World during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Disney just confirmed they will be testing their fireworks at Magic Kingdom on Monday, November 16th. It probably does not mean that the nightly fireworks shows will be returning anytime soon, but we can still hope!

On November 16, 2020, from 10 p.m. to midnight, Magic Kingdom will be testing some fireworks. Even though this seems like a sure sign that nighttime spectaculars will soon be returning, it is not. In fact, Epcot was testing fireworks back in September and nothing came of it.

In the official announcement from the Walt Disney Company released earlier, they specifically state that no fireworks or nighttime spectaculars are available at this time. It is likely that Disney will need permission from the Florida government in order to bring these back.

Anybody who has visited a Disney Park, whether they have purposefully watched a show or not, knows that the parades and nighttime spectaculars draw massive crowds. With rising cases of COVID-19 all over the country, it is very unlikely that shows that bring people in such close proximity will be returning until it is safe. However, if you happen to be in the Magic Kingdom or nearby area tomorrow, look up at the night sky for some fireworks!
