Word around the parks is that the Tomorrowland PeopleMover will be down for the next few weeks due to some much-needed work.

Walt Disney World Cast members have divulged to select sources that the classic attraction will be receiving a full replacement of all of the magnetic linear induction motors along the 5400′ track.

As you may recall, Disney has reported that it was trying to replace the motors as they failed. However, given the limited capacity in the theme parks this summer, it appears that they have chosen to perform a replacement for their Highway in the Sky.

Presently, Tomorrowland PeopleMover has been removed from the My Disney Experience digital map. Yet, it is not officially listed as ‘under refurbishment.’

We have yet to receive a confirmation from Disney regarding the information above. In other words, take it with a grain of salt for now.
