Sit-down restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort allow any guests/parents of guests with dietary restrictions to speak to the servers about the dietary restrictions. The chef will come to speak with you about your specific allergies or needs and will make sure to create something special for you void of any problem foods. They can also ensure that there is no possibility of contamination in your food by your problem foods.

Substitutes:

At most locations, guests can ask to replace tortillas, buns, bread, etc. with gluten-free instead and their request will be accommodated, even if it is not specified on the written menu. Ask a server or cast member at the restaurant if gluten-free substitutes are available there.

WDW Dietary Restrictions Tips

  1. Use the Walt Disney World App. It’ll help you find places to eat and even look at the menus to know what you can and cannot eat before going to the actual restaurant.
  2. Plan Ahead. Know what snacks and food you can and cannot eat so you don’t get disappointed when your expectations are not met.
  3. Stick to your guns. Prioritize staying within your limits so you can enjoy your vacation, rather than splurging and risk ruining your fun.
  4. Disney Dining Plan? While the Disney Dining Plan may be financially freeing, it can be limiting as far as choosing the places you want to eat with dietary restrictions, which are very limiting already. We recommend researching each Dining Plan beforehand and where/what you can eat on it and decide if it is right for you. Note: The dining plan is currently unavailable in 2021 due to COVID-19.
