It was announced today that Disney World is changing its park hours starting in September 2020. So here are the details and what we know.

Disney World Changing Hours

On August 7, 2020, The Walt Disney Company announced they would be shortening their theme park hours next month. Each park will be open about an hour or two less than they were during this past summer. This is not unheard of for the fall season, but we are sure this also has to do with an increased need for safety measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. The new hours will start on September 8, 2020. Here is the breakdown:

Magic Kingdom: 9am-6pm

EPCOT: 11am-7pm

Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 10am-7pm

Disney’s Animal Kingdom: 8am-5pm

The reactions from guests and cast members alike seem to be mixed. While most understand the need for the change, it is still sad to lose any extra hours at the parks. Again, this is not unheard of for the fall season at Walt Disney World, but the pandemic is probably more to blame for the extra short park days at this time.
