Tokyo Disney Resort has officially announced Dreaming of Fantasy Springs, a special event that will celebrate the three movies that have inspired the upcoming expansion: Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan.
Fantasy Springs is a brand new land (or port as they are officially known in the sea-based park) opening on 6th June, 2024. Tokyo DisneySea – more specifically, the area around the Mediterranean Harbor – will host the event.
Dreaming of Fantasy Springs will be held from 9th April to 30th June and will be jam-packed with exclusive shows, merchandise, and tasty themed snacks ahead of the port’s opening.
A Special Fantasy Springs Greeting
Guests will want to head to the Mediterranean Harbor throughout the event, as this is where a “Fantasy Springs’ Special Greeting” will take place. Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be joined by characters from the three movies on barges to tantalize guests about what’s to come. Plus, music from iconic movie scenes will play as Mickey, Minnie, and friends interact with the crowd.
This will take place 1-2 times per day and will last around 15 minutes each time. At the end of the greeting, the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line will also feature much-loved characters and a special Fantasy Springs makeover.
The park entrance and area to the left, around the Mediterranean Harbor, will feature banners and decorations themed to the event. It’s also here where you’ll be able to score special merchandise and menu items ahead of the expansion’s opening date – plus, cast members will be handing out exclusive stickers.
The Countdown is On
Tokyo DisneySea will be full of hidden surprises for the new land. Keep an eye out for a fun countdown that will be featured in the window of the Emporio store, and another that will be displayed by the entrance of Passaggio MiraCosta at night.
But that's not all – limited-edition popcorn box designs will also be replaced daily with the number of days to go until the new port opens.
