Heading to Tokyo Disney this summer? It’s your last chance to see Sky Full of Colours before Tokyo Disneyland’s new nighttime show, Reach for the Stars, takes over. It will replace the current fireworks show on 20th September 2024.

The Tokyo Disney Resort first announced this new nighttime spectacular earlier this year, though many details (including the name) were kept under wraps.

Reach for the Stars

Reach for the Stars is a classic Cinderella Castle projection show featuring several popular characters in pursuit of their dreams. Some of the Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films included are Toy Story, Big Hero 6, Up, Dumbo, Hercules, and Mary Poppins.

Marvel characters will also feature in Reach for the Stars (the concept art shows Iron Man and Captain Marvel) with projections, pyrotechnics, and dramatic mood lighting illuminating the characters.

Disney has teased that the show begins with the Cinderella Castle being “illuminated after dark… Tinker Bell arrives flying around freely through the air, and guests are guided to a place that feels like a dream, where stories come alive.”

Reach for the Stars will take place 1-2 times daily every evening from September 20, 2024. You can check show times in advance on the Tokyo Disney Resort mobile app.
