Buckle up, campers! Camp Snoopy opens at Knott’s Berry Farm at the end of this month. The six-acre land will debut on 27th June with a whole host of new rides and attractions.
The all-new Camp Snoopy is inspired by Knott’s Berry Farm’s location in the California High Sierras, where the PEANUTS gang made their first real-life debut in 1983.
Despite being aimed at a younger audience, the attractions at Camp Snoopy are fun enough for the whole family to enjoy. The engineering team behind many of the rides is Zamperla, who also recently worked on Top Thrill 2 at Cedar Point.
Camp Snoopy Rides and Attractions
Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister is a family coaster that sends kids (and big kids) up a lift hill and through a micro-launch. It’s the perfect first coaster experience for younger children or those wanting to test their mettle before hitting up a bigger ride.
Nearby, Sally’s Swing Along is a 10ft wooden swing that will send guests toward the sky and back down. This ride is large enough for both children and adults to sit side-by-side.
Plus, the Rocky Mountain Trucking Company has been transformed into Camp Snoopy’s Off-Road Rally, where little ones can zip around a track in a PEANUTS-themed jeep. Likewise, the Beagle Express will take guests on a gentle journey around the perimeter of Camp Snoopy.
Later in 2024, the former theatre space will become the Beagle Scout Acres, a large green park. No opening date has been announced for this area yet.
Additionally, the area will also boast the Grizzly Creek Lodge F&B outlet and the renovated Snoopy’s Camp Store. Character meet and greets will also take place throughout the day.
