Knott’s Berry Farm just sent out another email to their Season Passholders this morning. The subject line read, “Important Update for our Out-of-State Passholders.” If you are like me, you probably hoped they had decided to allow fully vaccinated out-of-state visitors inside after opening day. However, this was not the case. Instead, it was announced that only California residents will be allowed until further notice.

Knott’s Confirms Only CA Residents Allowed

The email confirmed that Knott’s Berry Farm would only be allowing visitors with a valid California state-issued ID inside the park until further notice. This is in accordance with California state guidelines to help slow the spread of COVID-19 while the vaccines are still being rolled out.

California residents with valid Season Passes to Knott’s Berry Farm will be allowed to enter the park starting on May 6, 2021. Attendance is limited to party sizes of 3 households or less and every person must be a California Resident. You must also have a valid theme park reservation, which you can make on the Knott’s Berry Farm website.

How This Affects Out-Of-State Passholders

In this email update, Knott Berry Farm announced that those without a California ID connected to their Season Pass will be given an additional extension. Out-of-state residents who have purchased a Season Pass to Knott’s Berry Farm before May 5, 2021, will have their validity extended to June 15, 2022. This is a month longer than those with a California ID connected to their pass, which was extended until May 5, 2022.
