Disney has shared details about the new DVC Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, as well as its official name.
The new building will be known as the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. The accommodation will take guests on a “storytelling journey” that immerses guests into life in Polynesia. The ten-story block will overlook the Seven Seas Lagoon and will blend the natural world with Disney magic.
The Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
New concept art has been released which shows the beautiful lobby. Keep your eyes peeled for intricate Manta-Ray motifs – the creature symbolises freedom, protection, and grace in Polynesian culture.
Disney’s Imagineering team partnered with more than a dozen global artists to create the artwork that will be featured throughout the resort. The art will showcase Polynesia, with preserved moss walls and unique fishing net sculptures some of the standout pieces.
Rooms at the Island Tower are yet to be revealed but will sleep between two to nine guests and promise spectacular views. Room types include duo studios, spacious one- and two-bedroom villas, and two-bedroom penthouse villas.
Disney also shared a teaser on Instagram, which you can watch below.
