The Tokyo Disney Resort has shared a new video of the Fantasy Springs expansion opening this summer.

The land features three distinct areas: Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest, and Peter Pan’s Never Land. Although Disney had already announced a Frozen Ever After-type ride, they had kept pretty tight-lipped about the rest of the attractions featured in the new port... until now.

The video below was shared by the Tokyo Disney Resort 100 days ahead of the new expansion opening. It shows a fly-through of the new port and teases the rides, restaurants, and shops that will be opening.

Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Rides

The resort has released more information about four brand-new rides and attractions. Here’s what you can expect when Fantasy Springs officially opens on 6th June, 2024.

Frozen Kingdom

Over in the Frozen-themed land, Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey is the flagship ride.  This will be the same as Walt Disney World’s Frozen Ever After, with guests joining the sisters on a magical boat ride through Arendelle and beyond.

Riders will be transported through Anna and Elsa’s memories, accompanied by well-known songs from the movie soundtrack including “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” “For the First Time in Forever,” and “Love Is an Open Door.”

This ride is suitable for the entire family, with small drops throughout. Like the attraction in WDW, the ride will also feature a thrilling backward drop when Elsa casts her magic spell.

Rapunzel's Forest

Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival is the main ride in the Rapunzel’s Forest area of Fantasy Springs. This attraction sees guests enjoying a romantic gondola tour that leads to the annual Lantern Festival, where Rapunzel experiences her “best day ever” with Flynn Rider.

The ride will contain songs from the beloved Disney classic, culminating with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider singing “I See the Light,” and guests being enveloped by the glow of lanterns in the night sky. We imagine that this ride in particular will be incredibly popular in Tokyo Disney.

Peter Pan’s Never Land

Peter Pan's Never Land Adventure has been confirmed as a 3D ride.

Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure will likely be the most thrilling ride in Fantasy Springs. Guests will join Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Boys on an epic adventure through Neverland to rescue John from Captain Hook and his pirate gang.

While following similar themes, this ride is different from Peter Pan’s Flight in WDW as guests will board a large boat (seating 12) and will be required to wear 3D glasses. Tinkerbell will still be on hand with a little bit of pixie dust to get guests off the ground, though.

Also in Peter Pan’s Never Land, Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies is a family-friendly ride similar to Pooh’s Hunny Hunt or Ratatouille: The Adventure. Guests will be shrunk down to fairy size to board a Busy Buggy before heading through Pixie Hollow to explore the fairy valley and its changing seasons.

Disney Premier Access will be available for all rides minus Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies.
