Back in the day, we used to have to wait months for a television commercial or magazine spread to catch a glimpse of the latest theme park attraction! Now, the internet has got us covered 247! So, a big thanks to Twitter for the latest update on the VelociCoaster, Universal Orlando’s 70 miles per hour epic upcoming attraction. This time, the update comes in the form of a sneak peek at the ride vehicles themselves… and they are absolutely roarsome!

In September, Universal Orlando Resort wet out carnivorous appetites by sharing an exclusive trailer for the VelociCoaster, offering a few fun-filled conceptual designs. However, this latest sneak peek takes things to a whole new level.

The first thing I noticed about the Velocicoaster ride vehicle feet was the detail. In case you’re wondering, yes… those are scratch marks! And as someone who fondly remembers watching the original movie at the theatre, I love that the vehicles pay homage to the classic Jurassic Park logo, as well as the InGen logo, the bioengineering company founded by the one and only, John Hammond.

Overall, the vehicles give off a rather high-tech, ultramodern vibe… which I am totally here for. In fact, they are so on-trend that they are almost reminiscent of EPCOT’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind vehicles. However, these seem to offer a bit more in the way of on-board lighting effects, which you just knew are going to light up the Orlando night sky in an electrifyingly big way!

The last thing we see is the VelociCoaster ride vehicle in action! It is hard to get a read on how fast and/or bumpy this ride will be, but according to Universal, it will be Florida’s fastest and tallest launch coaster to date. And based on some of the set decorating, the theming feels spot on!

As the promo reads, the VelociCoaster is scheduled to open in Summer 2021. Based on this preview, it will be well worth the wait.
