Disney Parks Blog has treated us to some delicious news the week regarding their culinary masterworks. And while they’ve only begun to wet out appetites with the selection, let’s just say… it is a tasty step in the right direction! So, without further ado… here are the latest dining options scheduled to return at Walt Disney World.

Chef Mickey’s Dinner (Disney’s Contemporary Resort) – Reopening May 16th

Make way for Chef Mickey! This fan-favourite will serve up an all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style dinner that will offer plenty of “no touch” appearances with Mickey Mouse and some of his fab five friends! So, be sure to brush up on your selfie skills, y’all!

In addition, guests will be presented with a character-clad keepsake, featuring signatures and colorful artwork. A complimentary souvenir? Count us in!

The dinner menu will include items for the whole family, such as:

Starters:

  • “Chef Mickey’s Caesar”
  • Citrus-poached shrimp salad
  • Assorted breads

Main Course:

  • Gnocchi
  • Roasted garlic potato Gratin
  • Plant-based faro wheat fried rice
  • Prime rib
  • Roasted turkey
  • Salmon

Dessert

  • An assortment of sweets will be provided post-dinner

Kiddie Menu

  • Mac and cheese
  • Chicken nuggets
  • Turkey corn dog nuggets

Cape May Café (Disney’s Beach Club Resort) – Reopening May 18th

Escape to the beach and take in all the scrumptious delights of an oceanside town. This New England-themed dining location is a must-do for newbies and regulars alike!

While Disney warns that we can expect some familiar favourites on the menu, we will also uncover a few new changes, as well. Though the restaurant will serve breakfast and dinner, Minnie’s Beach Bash Character Breakfast and the Seafood-and-More Dinner Buffet will not return at this time.

Breakfast will include all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style breakfast menu, highlighting popular staples such as pastries (including the layered crispy, cream-filled “Lobster Tail”), omelettes, and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse waffles.

As for dinner, guests will be treated to house-made Parker House rolls and cornbread, a seafood boil with a variety of fresh seafood, The Turf Platter with steak and chicken, and lobster mac and cheese.

Tusker House Restaurant

You know, EPCOT may have some noteworthy kiosks at its various festivals, but Animal Kingdom Theme Park is quickly becoming the foodie’s hotspot. This guest-favourite character dining location, Tusker House Restaurant, will reopen this summer with a modified character experience! Guests are invited to partake in unforgettable family-style entrees inspired by the flavours of Africa, where they can snap a shot of Donald Duck and friends, donning their safari apparel best as they stroll through the restaurant.
