The opening date for Downtown Disney’s hottest new restaurant has been revealed. A soft opening with a limited menu will be available at Din Tai Fung from 24th June 2024.

This is one of six new restaurants opening in Downtown Disney over the summer. The Taiwanese chain is famed for its delicious Dim Sum, particularly its Xiao Long Bao – small steamed dumplings with an array of tasty fillings.

Disney has also shared a look into the restaurant’s design, which features plenty of nods to Taiwanese architecture. The exterior looks like a modern Chinese-style temple, while the interior is decorated with jade tiles, oak beams, and traditional pendants.

Diners will be able to catch a glimpse of the culinary artistry through large expo windows towards the back of the restaurant. In Din Tai Fung's other locations, a "robot" waiter serves diners, though it's unclear whether Disney will opt for a more traditional Cast Member service.

This is Din Tai Fung’s ninth location in California. It’s located on the west side of Downtown Disney, near where the new entrance recently opened. Reservations will be available on the Din Tai Fung website.
