Disneyland has announced that the Haunted Mansion Holiday will reopen this Halloween season with a Virtual Queue.
The attraction is currently closed as Imagineers work on renovating the ride queue in a way that will “build on the story and lore of the Haunted Mansion.” The new queue will include an extended section, a brand-new gift shop, and an elevator for guests with mobility issues.
Once the Haunted Mansion Holiday reopens, guests will need to join a Virtual Queue via the Disneyland app in the morning. This will give guests an allocated time to return to the attraction.
About the Haunted Mansion Holiday Overlay
The Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay sees the beloved attraction receive a The Nightmare Before Christmas makeover. The Pumpkin King Jack Skellington covers the Haunted Mansion in frightfully fun decor, while Sally, Oogie Boogie, and other beasties from the movie join him in welcoming guests.
Disney also shared a teaser of this year's Haunted Mansion Holiday gingerbread house – you'll find it in the ballroom scene when it reopens.
The attraction has been closed since 22nd January 2024. An exact reopening date is yet to be revealed, although the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay usually takes place from early September.
