SeaWorld Orlando has announced the grand opening date for Penguin Trek.
The attraction will debut on 7th July 2024, though Pass Members will be able to access the coaster through special time slots from 2nd July.
The ride will be SeaWorld Orlando's ninth roller coaster, joining the likes of Mako and Pipeline: The Surf Coaster. Penguin Trek will be located in the Antarctica realm of the park.
About Penguin Trek
The family launch coaster sees guests board snowmobile-style trains before heading out on a snowy expedition. Penguin Trek reaches speeds of over 40 mph across an indoor/outdoor track spanning more than 3000 feet. The minimum height requirement is 42 inches.
Jon Peterson, President of SeaWorld Orlando, said: “We are incredibly excited to unveil our newest addition to SeaWorld Orlando’s outstanding coaster lineup… Penguin Trek offers a unique blend of thrills and education, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the wonders of Antarctica while highlighting our dedication to wildlife preservation and family-friendly fun."
The ride culminates inside the penguin habitat, with guests coming face-to-face with the cheeky Antarctic animals. We shared some footage of this ride earlier this year after SeaWorld held media previews while the construction was ongoing.
