Videos of SeaWorld Orlando’s latest family coaster have finally been released – and we’re itching to ride it!

We first brought you the news on the Penguin Trek coaster late last year and, ever since then, we’ve been eagerly waiting for new updates. The ride is expected to open in spring 2024 and, although we’re unsure if SeaWorld will make this deadline, construction seems to be moving at a rapid pace.

An Antarctic Adventure

SeaWorld hosted a hard hat tour of the new attraction on 21st February, 2024, where they shared new details about the construction progress. During the media event, the staff teased that a new bar will also be opening alongside Penguin Trek in the Expedition Cafe.

SeaWorld Orlando then released the below video of the construction site, which shows that the roller coaster is near completion and is awaiting theming elements before it begins testing.

Penguin Trek will be yet another addition to SeaWorld Orlando’s impressive coaster lineup. Guests will board a snowmobile-style ride car before heading on a high-speed adventure through the Antarctic wilderness.

The ride will feature two launches and a track that winds both indoors and outdoors before arriving at the penguin habitat for a truly immersive experience. Guests will embark inside the Antarctic Sea Station before pulling out and heading to the first launch, which you can see in the shared images below.

The exact opening date is yet to be revealed by SeaWorld Orlando, though the initial Spring 2024 projection is creeping ever closer. We’re expecting news in the coming weeks as to when this ride will officially open.
