After teasing it earlier this year, Disney has shared some more information about Star Wars Season of the Force at the Disneyland Resort.
The event will run between 5th April and 2nd June, bringing with it new experiences, snacks, and exclusive merchandise. Disney has also shared plenty of details about a new nighttime spectacular that will illuminate the sky over Batuu.
Fire of the Rising Moons
Season of the Force will bring a new nighttime show to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. “Fire of the Rising Moons,” an epic firework display featuring a unique view, will debut in Disneyland Park.
Villagers and visitors will join together to celebrate as the sky above Batuu is illuminated in bright bursts of colour. Of course, there will also be a celestial John Willams soundtrack to accompany this new show.
The show can be experienced from multiple areas within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, including the Black Spire Spaceport, the TIE Echelon docking platform, and the speeder garage. Make sure you keep an eye on your MagicBand+, as it will be programmed to join in the display with colourful lights and vibrations.
New Attraction Overlay, Merchandise, and Snacks
Fans will be delighted to hear that the high-speed Space Mountain overlay, Hyperspace Mountain, will return to the park for this limited period.
Additionally, guests will be able to shop a new collection of Star Wars merchandise in Galaxy’s Edge, Tomorrowland’s Star Trader, and the Star Wars Trading Post in Downtown Disney. A futuristic Star Tours – The Adventure Continues collection will land in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
Not able to make this event? Don’t panic; this new merch collection will be available via DisneyStore.com later in 2024.
It wouldn’t be a Disney event without exclusive menu items, would it? When hunger strikes, guests can chow down on specialty-themed food and beverages, including an impressive Star Wars sugar cookie.
An Exclusive New Experience
Brand-new for 2024 is a new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge PhotoPass experience. Aspiring bounty hunters will be able to join the search for the Mandolorian and Grogu with a holopuck Magic Shot.
Themed photo lenses will also return for those with the Genie+ service, which will allow guests to commemorate their visit with exclusive photo opportunities.
Don't forget! Season of the Force coincides with the new Star Tours adventures landing in Disneyland on 5th April, kickstarting a season of all things intergalactic.
