If you’re heading to Disneyland this summer, there are a few major attraction closures to bear in mind.
Disneyland just updated its website with several construction updates primarily affecting New Orleans Square and Critter County. Many of these updates will reopen alongside Tiana's Bayou Adventure in late 2024.
New Orleans Square
The bridge that connects New Orleans Square with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will temporarily close on 8th July 2024. Guests wishing to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge must travel through the Frontierland entrance.
The opening date for Haunted Mansion is yet to be revealed, but it seems like the attraction will remain closed throughout the summer. This is while Imagineers work behind the scenes to create a wonderful new queue design.
New Orleans Square Station on the Disneyland Railroad remains closed because of the work taking place in the area between Tiana’s Palace and the Haunted Mansion. Nearby popcorn and churro carts will likely be moved until both Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Haunted Mansion reopen.
Critter Country
As you might expect, most of the construction work taking place at Disneyland this summer is over in Critter Country. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is still scheduled to open later in the year, along with two brand-new retail locations.
The Briar Patch will be transformed into Ray’s Berets, while Pooh Corner will reopen soon with Louis’ Critter Club taking over the left side of the store. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh will also reopen later in the year.
Critter Country will also see some temporary closures over the next few months. The following spots will close on 8th July 2024:
- Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes
- The Critter Country Fruit Cart
- The Hungry Bear Restaurant and nearby bathrooms will close. The nearest restrooms are located at Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
There's no word yet on when these spots will reopen, but check back with Themepark+ for the latest updates.
