Ahead of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening sometime in 2024, Disneyland has announced that two brand-new shops will open with The Princess and the Frog theming.

While Walt Disney World has already announced the opening of the Splash Mountain retheme will be summer 2024, Disneyland is keeping pretty tight-lipped about when we can expect to plunge that thrilling log flume once more.

What we do know, though, is that two new retail spaces will be opening up in Critter Country.

Two Princess and the Frog-Inspired Shops

Fans have been speculating online for months now about the fate of The Briar Patch – and Disney has finally answered. This store will transform into Ray’s Berets, a spot to pick up headwear, apparel, and toys with firefly Raymond and his critter friends.

Further into the land, on the left side of the Pooh Corner shop, Louis’ Critter Club will offer guests more apparel, accessories, and home decor featuring Princess Tiana and the gang.

Don’t panic; the treats side of Pooh Corner will still serve up its famous Tigger Tails and other sweet snacks. We’re not quite sure how this merger of two IPs will work, but we’re excited to see a Louis x Winnie the Pooh crossover.

Critter Country will temporarily close on 1st May to make way for these two retail destinations. No reopening date has currently been announced, but we imagine it will coincide with the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure later in 2024.
