If you're heading to Tokyo Disney Resort this summer, it's safe to say that temperatures will be sweltering. But, don't panic – the “Get Soaked” summer series returns from 2nd July until 18th September.

This year, there are even more ways for park guests to cool off in the Tokyo summer heat. Alongside summer-themed merchandise and refreshing food and drink menus, a huge programme of events will take place in both Tokyo Disneyland Park and Tokyo DisneySea.

The Tokyo Disney Resort will offer a bumper lineup of holiday-themed events throughout the summer season. Along the Tokyo Disneyland Park parade route, “Baymax’s Mission: Cool Down” will bolster guests’ spirits by spraying them with even more water than in previous years.

As well as this, Splash Mountain will run a “Get Soaked MAX” programme – fair warning, you will get extremely wet as you plunge down the last drop. Though in the Tokyo summer heat, this is more than welcome.

One of the most exciting announcements is that the Country Bear Theater attraction will run a special summer version, “Vacation Jamboree.” This returns to Tokyo for the first time in five years between 17th May and 7th November.

Over in Tokyo DisneySea, Aquatopia will run its “Get Soaked” version. This ride whirls guests around the Port Discovery area in a trackless watercraft and runs as a less splash-filled attraction throughout the cooler months.

You’ll also need to keep your eyes peeled in both parks as Cast Members will carry barrels of water during “Get Soaked Time” and will spray unsuspecting guests. Other offerings around the resort include “cool” menus – featuring shaved ice, chilled churros, and cool noodles – and T-shirts, available in multiple locations.

Psst... Don't forget to ride Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters at Disneyland Park before they close later this year for major rethemes.
