Universal Studios Japan has released an epic lineup for its annual Easter celebrations.
Between 8th March and 30th June, 2024, the park will transform into a pastel paradise featuring adorable decorations, fun character greetings, and plenty of music-filled parades.
Here's what to expect during the Easter season at USJ...
Go! Go! Easter March
USJ’s annual Go! Go! Easter March is a fan favorite and will also return in 2024. Characters from around the park will host a bumper parade inviting guests to join in and dance with the likes of Hello Kitty, Elmo, and Snoopy.
These parades will take place on Saturdays and Sundays between the 16th and 31st of March, plus 1st of April, 2nd of April, and then daily between 2nd and 5th of March.
The exact timings may vary – you can view the Go! Go! Easter March schedule a week in advance here.
Minion and Friends’ Celebration
The Minions are very popular in Universal Studios Japan, so there will be plenty of chances to spot these cheeky yellow villains. Minion Easter Greetings will take place at the front of Minion Park, where you can snap photos with them while they’re dressed in their bunny and chicken outfits.
The Minion Park entrance arch will feature Easter decorations such as egg shells and festive bunting, while statues of Bob, Kevin, and friends will be given festive makeovers in the form of eggshell hats and bunny ears.
Over in Universal Wonderland, Snoopy and Elmo will appear with bunny ears, while Hello Kitty will don an Easter egg dress and join guests for a special dance party. This area will also feature plenty of decorations, so keep your eyes peeled for painted Easter eggs on the ground.
Limited-Edition Food and Merchandise
For exclusive food items, you’ll want to head to Beverly Hills Boulangerie. This spot will serve an Easter Sandwich Set packed with yummy vegetables, plus an Easter Bunny White Chocolate Mousse and a Happy Easter Shortcake for those with a sweet tooth.
Over in Snoopy’s Backlot Cafe, guests can pick up an Easter Strawberry cake with a whipped cream topping, or a special Carbonara Spaghetti Set for something a little more substantial.
If you prefer to snack on the go, Delicious Me! The Cookie Kitchen and Hello Kitty’s Corner Café will also be serving up a selection of Easter cookies and drinks.
For merch-lovers, Universal has announced that a pair of new bunny headbands will also be available to purchase at the Sesame Street Kids Store – these Hello Kitty and Snoopy ears will be available from the 8th of March.
No Limit Music Festival
Running alongside USJ’s Easter celebrations will be the No Limit Music Festival. Throughout this event, plenty of character favorites will be performing and parading around the park.
Streetside Symphony and Power of Pop: World Tour are two of the main shows that will take place in the park. These parades will feature talented vocalists and some of the most popular Universal characters.
Plus, from the 15th of March, My Melody and Kuromi will be hosting kawaii rock concerts where guests are invited to come and party. Limited edition merch will also be available to buy featuring both characters.
Easter Sunday falls on the 31st of March this year, though these performances (and the Easter event) will carry on well into the summer months at USJ.
